Door window glass regulator — removal and installation
Warning: Wear gloves when working inside the door openings to protect against cuts from sharp metal edges.
Front
1. Remove the door trim panel and the plastic water shield (see Door trim panels — removal and installation).
2. Remove the door speaker fasteners and disconnect the electrical connector (see Chassis electrical system).
3. Remove the window glass (see Door window glass — removal and installation).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator motor.
5. Loosen the temporary locking bolt, but do not remove it (see illustration).

Caution: If the temporary bolt is removed before the regulator assembly is removed, the regulator may fall and be damaged.
6. Remove the regulator/motor assembly mounting bolts and remove the regulator assembly through the service hole in the door frame.
7. Once the regulator is out of the vehicle, remove the temporary locking bolt.
8. Installation is the reverse of removal. Lubricate the rollers and wear points on the
regulator with white grease before installation.
Rear
9. Remove the door trim panel and the plastic water shield (see Door trim panels — removal and installation).
10. Remove the quarter glass and window glass assembly (see Door window glass — removal and installation).
11. Reconnect the power window switch and raise the window regulator to the up position.
12. Disconnect the power window switch and the electrical connector from the window regulator motor.
13. Loosen the temporary locking bolt until the bolt contacts the gear.
Caution: If the temporary bolt is removed before the regulator assembly is removed, the regulator may fall and be damaged.
14. Remove the regulator/motor assembly mounting bolts and remove the regulator assembly through the service hole in the door frame.
15. Once the regulator is out of the vehicle, remove the temporary locking bolt.
16. Installation is the reverse of removal. Lubricate the rollers and wear points on the regulator with white grease before installation.
