Mirrors — removal and installation
Outside mirrors Toyota models
1. Pry off the mirror trim cover on the inside of the door.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mirror (if equipped) (see illustration).
21.2 Disconnect the electrical connector (A) and remove the three mirror mounting nuts (B)
3. Remove the three mirror retaining nuts and detach the mirror from the vehicle.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Lexus models
5. Remove the door trim panel and window frame trim (see Door — removal, installation and adjustment).
6. Remove the three mirror retaining nuts and disconnect the electrical connector.
7. Carefully pull the mirror up to disengage the retaining clip and remove the mirror.
8. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Inside mirror
9. Disengage the sensor cover clips, then remove the cover (s) and electrical connector.
10. To remove/install the mirror, remove/ install the Torn screw at the base on the wind-
shield.
11. If the mount plate itself has come off the windshield, adhesive kits are available at auto parts stores to re-secure it. Follow the instructions included with the kit.
