Trunk lid latch and lock cylinder — removal and installation
Trunk lid latch
1. Remove the trunk lid trim panel and latch trim cover.
2. Scribe a line around the trunk lid latch assembly for a reference point to aid the installation procedure (see illustration).

3. Detach the two retaining bolts and remove the latch.
4. Disconnect the latch release cable and/ or actuator rod and the electrical connector from the latch.
5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Trunk lock assembly
6. Open the trunk and remove the trunk lid trim panel (see illustration 13.1). Remove the lock cylinder rod from its clip and remove the lock cylinder mounting bolts (see illustration). On models so equipped, disconnect the electrical connector from the lock.

7. Remove the cylinder from the trunk.
8. Installation is the reverse of removal
