Transmission Range (TR) sensor — replacement
Even though the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has recommended since 1996 that all manufacturers refer to the Park/ Neutral Position (PNP) switch as the Transmission Range (TR) sensor, Toyota continues to refer to the TR sensor as the PNP switch. To avoid confusion, we have therefore included the TR sensor/PNP switch in Chapter Automatic transaxle.
